Great job. You gave us the most likely answer to your issue...your camera is recording with the video compression named MotionJPEG. So, you have a Motion.JPEG.avi file that Premiere Elements is known to have problems with. This is sort of a classical question/answer. At least 3 ways to go on this....
1. Look at what came with the camera....determine if there is a utility that came with the camera...if there is, install it to determine if it will give you the MotionJPEG video codec that Premiere Elements will recognize.
or
2. Go online, find a MotionJPEG codec to purchase, download, and install. The Morgan MotionJPEG codec has been used in the past by some and has been coming with good tryout period to decide if it is going to work and if it is worth the investment if you are going to stay with recording MotionJPEG.avi and editing it in Premiere Elements.
or
3. Convert you MotionJPEG.avi into another format with which Premiere Elements does not have problems. Please consider the free HandBrake software to obtain a H.264.mp4 that you can import into your Premiere Elements project. https://handbrake.fr/

Dynamic Link broken in Premiere Pro CC 2015?
I just updated to CC 2105, and now when I open my Premiere project all of the AE-linked comps are offline. When I choose "Link Media" and navigate to the file, I click 'OK' and nothing happens. The AE project is there (and opens normally in AE) but there is no way to get Premiere to recognize the file and relink. What broke in this update?

Since it's database driven, you'd usually be better off using php, or whatever language the site is written in. Javascript site search scripts tend to be pretty bloated and not nearly as good as server sided versions. But if you want to use one, just do a quick search in Google and you'll be given a variety of options.

Well it is almost September and as I read thru these posts I really don't see any good news about Captivate 8.1 and Windows 10. Correct answer dated June 14, 2015 is, well dated. Any news? OOpps I clicked that link above to the CP 8 system requirements and win 10 has been added. You'd think some sort of communication to users might have made sense... but no just one word - disgusting

Re: Computer crashed and had to re install windows..all of the CS6 componets are still on a seperate hard drive in computer. That drive was not wiped..how can I reinstall al of teh Suite to same computer?
yes, you should delete uninstalled files, clean (just in case) per Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems and then properly install using the installation files.
you are allowed an unlimited number of downloads, but you might want to keep the installation files in case adobe stops offering them. (currently, they offer back to cs2.)
and you are limited to, at most, two concurrent activations.

Downloading problems
When I download a monthly statement it simply says Downloading... and nothing else happens. I upgraded to the latest version of Reader DC and the problem remains. Anyone have a resolution?
