The view panel in Develop module shows my pictures in highlighted 5 tonal colours as if I opened them in the Histogram

Hi

I have been using LR 4 for a few years. I have just signed up with Creative Cloud. When I import my pictures in the upgraded LR CC and move in the develop module to edit my pictures, the main view panel shows my pictures in highlighted 5 tonal colours as if I had opened them in the histogram rather than as a normal unedited image.

I shoot in Raw (NEF) and I import DNG files.

I can see my pictures without this "effect" in the smaller view panel in the left hand corner but this is not helpful as too small. I need to see my pictures in the main view panel. So far the only way I have managed to get around this issue is by using the Loupe but it slows down my workflow too much as I have to close it when I need to crop pictures.

How can I fix this? Do I need to tick or untick a specific setting?

Many thanks in advance.

Celine
